Bicentennial Square Re-Development
Bicentennial Square, located between Warren and Pleasant Streets in downtown Concord, was originally designed by local architect Duncan McGowan and constructed in 1976, in honor of the nation’s bicentennial anniversary. >click for more

Kimball Park Improvements
As part of its year-round Green Team Program Groundwork Concord enlisted the participation of Project Second Start students in the spring of 2007 to build a new entrance to the park at the corner of Rumford and Penacook Streets. >click for more

I-93 Gateway Improvements Program
As part of a multi-year approach to “screening” Concord from the noise and sight of Interstate I93, Groundwork contracted with the City of Concord to plant trees off Exit 14 to the east, and along Stickney Avenue to the west. >click for more

Terrill Park Improvements
Groundwork Concord designed a park master plan for Terrill Park back in 2004. The park is one of Concord’s best kept secrets: a quiet sanctuary on the east side of the Merrimack River with beautiful views of the State House and the city skyline. >click for more

Extreme Block Makeover
The second annual Extreme Block Makeover took place in 2007 at 76 S. Main Street, a vacant lot next to Aubuchon’s, previously slated for the new Concord Cooperative Market. >click for more

 

Penacook Gateways
A team of nine volunteers hailing from Penacook and Concord installed two gateway landscapes located at the Manor Fire Station and the corner of Village and Elm Streets on a very wet and muddy day in November 2007. >click for more
